I am Mark Marley, and I serve as Pastor at Word Fellowship Church in Cibolo, Texas. We are a non-denominational congregation born out of the frustration observed in the American Church. Perhaps you can relate.
What has emerged over the past few decades seems far afield from the New Testament assembly. The average American experience has become nothing more than Christian entertainment filled with rockin' bands and a never-ending supply of topical, "cotton candy" messages. Gone are messages centering on the work and person of Christ, the cost of following Him, and devotion to the historic Gospel.
Word Fellowship focuses on three central tenets:
Word Fellowship is dedicated to the consistent presentation of Scripture in a systematic, book-by-book, verse-by-verse format, focusing on the historical, literal, and grammatical interpretation of the Bible.
The great commission given to the church was to make disciples of all nations. Here at Word Fellowship, we take the command to know Christ seriously and teach others to do the same.
We are a Kingdom-driven church and understand the importance of making a difference in the lives of those around us by reaching out to the church body, local community, and on a global scale. We are proud of our work in places like Pakistan, India, and Africa.
This blog will discuss these tenets, and we invite all thoughtful exchanges. We want to invite you to join us either in person or online.
